GATES MILLS, Ohio -- Gilmour Academy's Varsity A hockey team earned a statement win on the road, shutting out rival University School 3-0 on Sunday, Jan. 4.

Aedan Aerni '26, Galen Frizzie '26 and Ben Slifko '26 each found the back of the net for the Lancers, who controlled play against one of their longtime league rivals.

With the victory, Gilmour Academy improved to 16-1 on the season and secured the Greater Ohio Hockey League regular-season championship for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Lancers return to action Friday, Jan. 9, when they face St. John's Jesuit School in the Greater Ohio Hockey League quarterfinals. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. at BAM Arena.
