The varsity boys soccer team recently had an exciting end to a game against Orange High School. After remaining scoreless through the first half, the opposing Lions took a 2-0 advantage early in the second half and remained ahead until deep in the game. It wasn't until just under the 10-minute mark that the Lancers came alive. Alexander Beedles '22 (pictured on left) scored twice with assists from Dorjan Flowers '23 (pictured on right) and Bowdan Slabe '20. Neither team would score the rest of the way, finishing in a 2-2 tie. Keeper Matt Beck '21 had nine saves.

At the junior varsity level, the Lancers lost a close match to Orange 1-0. Their excitement came earlier in the week, however, at a road game versus Warren Howland. After falling behind 1-0 early in the game, Eli Swirski '23 netted the equalizer off an assist by Nik Socrates '21. Flowers then scored the winning goal with 40 seconds remaining in the game on an assist from Michael Tippen '22Jake Howse '20 was a stone wall in the goal, saving 14 shots, including many at close range. Howland came into the game with an undefeated record of 8-0.
