Gilmour student-athlete Tanyon Bajzer '21 recently signed a tender to continue his hockey career with the Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League for the 2021-2022 season. 

The boys prep hockey captain has made a remarkable impact on the program and the Gilmour Academy community. Last season, Bajzer led the Lancers in goals scored (31), finished second in points earned (62), and was third in assists (31) for the team. At the time of his signing, Bajzer had already scored six goals and recorded nine assists for 15 points thus far in the 2020-2021 season.  

Off the ice, the future member of the Brown Bears is a part of the National Honor Society and was selected as a Gilmour Academy Kairos retreat leader this year. Notably, as a junior, Bajzer was one of three student-athletes in the Cleveland area nominated for Male High School Athlete of the Year by the Greater Cleveland Sports Commision.  

The Gilmour community is looking forward to watching Tanyon's hockey career continue with the Kenai River Brown Bears in Soldotna, Alaska next season.
