The Gilmour Academy Varsity A boys hockey team earned two victories over the weekend, as they defeated Newark High School and hometown rival University School. 

The Lancers hosted Newark on Saturday afternoon, and defeated the Wildcats 4-2. The team's high powered offense was led by Jakub Sedlacik '22, Joe Roddy '21, Jack Starr '21 and Frankie Valenti '21, who each scored a goal in the contest. Andrew Harrington '21 anchored Gilmour's defense, only allowing two goals against the Wildcats. 

On Sunday morning, University School traveled down the road to compete against the Lancers in the Floyd E. Stefanski Ice Arena. Coming off of a hard-fought victory against Newark the previous day, Gilmour's offense didn't miss a beat against the Preppers. Goals were scored by Rickie Hughes '21, John Kohanski '21, Nick Kolar '21, Harry Rogers '22 and Colin Bauman '21, as the Lancers defeated the Preppers 5-4 in a thrilling offensive battle. 

The Lancers travel to Serpentini Arena Winterhurst on Friday, December 11 to compete against St. Edward High School at 6:10 p.m. Fans of the Lancers can click here to watch the contest.
